A young girl was kidnapped by singing Spanish toads to be exploited for a big “money making” pyramid scheme. She was found by a young French Bird but was soon sent down-stream towards a raging waterfall. She has yet to be found.
Monday night, a young girl named Thumbelina, was taken from her room by a well known travelling Spanish Toad quartet. The quartet reported that the young girl was going to perform the next night but was left to fend for herself on a lily pad until the next morning. “We only left her to find her a costume for the show. We never meant to lose her. We need her with us, not dead,” claims Maria “Mama” Toad, lead singer of the quartet.
The girl had apparently been discovered by a French Bird named Jacques, who clipped the lily pad to set her free, on the assumption that she needed help. Once she had informed him that she wanted to go home, he flew off to find which direction to go in, leaving her lily pad loose. Suddenly from above, he saw the water pick up and she was seen going towards the turbulent waterfall. Her head plunged under the water and that was the last she was seen. "If only I had been paying closer attention! Then she could be home right now," cried Jacques mornfully.
"Mama" Toad is to be tried Friday for breaking and entering, kidnapping and second degree murder. If Thumbelina were to testify, the jury might lighten the sentence, but so long as the young girl is considered deceased, Mama's chances for a light sentence are slim.
