Facebook: Friend or Foe?

oh got

Facebook, although informative and occasionally helpful, serves no real purpose in people's lives. It was originally set up by college students and encouraged by professors as a way for college students to communicate with their professors and each other about classes and other college related information.

Facebook was abused by students of all ages that lied about their age (the limit originally being 18 and older only) and “broke into” the Facebook world. The creator of Facebook saw this as a “money making” opportunity and made it open for all ages. Children of all ages are influenced, some as young as 8 years old are exposed to many derogatory things that an eight year old should not be influenced by.

Slowly, Facebook is corrupting our children, making them inclusive and anti-social; creating socially awkward youth that are embarrassed while interacting with human beings and not the computer screen.
